Environmentalists! It's Time to Get Real

The Ranking Members of Natural Resources, Judiciary, Parks & Public lands and Homeland Security, have introduced legislation to allow the Border Patrol to enter public lands, which have become safe havens for drug smugglers, illegal aliens and, possibly, terrorists.  The bill, H.R.5016, specifically instructs the Departments of Agriculture and Interior to no longer "impede, prohibit, or restrict activities of the Secretary of Homeland Security on public lands."

What's this all about?  It's about the environmentailists and environmental organizations who are, once again, on the wrong side of an issue that has had devastating effects on America's national forests and wildlife refuges.  Illegal aliens have burnt down millions of acres of our national forests with their campfires.  They have dumped millions of metric tons of garbage along the smuggling routes, turning our pristine wilderness into a garbage can.  They have destroyed the population balance of our country ... and the environmental movement is not just silent about this ecological disaster, they are actively engaged in supporting the other side!

If you are an environmentalists or have friends who are, talk to them about what is happening and beg them to contact their environmental organization.  Tell them that if they really care about the enviroment, they have to get the organizations they support to get real on this issue.  They have to put their petty political biases aside and do the job they are tasked with - protecting the environment.  And that means joining with those who want to stop the surge of massive illegal immigraiton that is destroying our country and our environment.  Help them to recognize illegal immigration as the greatest of all environmental threats to America!

Georgia statistics show effect of illegals on local workers

Recent Georgia statistics show that despite the claims of businesses, the increased numbers of immigrant workers have been accompanied by a significant decline in the percentage of less-educated natives holding jobs in the state.
• Between 2000 and 2006 the share of less-educated native-born adults (ages 18 to 64) in Georgia holding a job declined from 71 percent to 66 percent. (Less-educated is defined as having no education beyond high school.)

• Less-educated blacks in Georgia have seen a somewhat larger decline in employment, from 66 percent holding a job in 2000 to just 60 percent in 2006.

• There are nearly 800,000 less-educated native-born adults in Georgia not working. There are likely between 250,000 and 350,000 less-educated illegal aliens holding jobs in the state.

• Wages and salary for less-educated adults in Georgia have stagnated. Over the entire six-year time period of the study, real annual wages for less-educated adults grew by just 1 percent. If there was a labor shortage, wages should be rising fast.

• Immigrants (legal and illegal) increased their share of all less-educated workers in Georgia, from 7 percent in 2000 to 19 percent by 2006. Other research indicates that at least half of this growth was from illegal immigrants.

More than 100,000 illegal aliens give birth each year in California

Each year, more than 100,000 illegal alien women set anchors in California, human anchors, that is. The illegal alien women give birth to ‘100,000 anchor babies’ giving them an instant family tie to a U.S. citizen.

But who pays for their medical care? The state and federal taxpayer funded Medicaid program, Medi-Cal pays. Births to illegal immigrants and related expenses cost the program more than 40 percent of the $1 billion it spends each year on health care for illegal aliens.

California has long been a generous state in offering such services to illegal immigrants. Everything from pregnancy tests to postpartum checkups is covered.

Groups seeking better enforcement of immigration laws argue that such 'birthright' U.S. citizenship for babies born on U.S. soil is an incentive for illegal immigrants to have their children here.

Prenatal care is one of the most controversial aspects of providing health care to illegal immigrants. While labor and delivery long have been considered emergencies, entitled to federally-funded care, federal officials have balked at covering prenatal care.
